There are many remedies for high blood pressure. Most of them can be natural.(MediciNes and RemediEs) You can try controlling and lowering your high blood pressure without having to necessarily have to take any medication. One of the most common causes of having a high blood pressure would be having an unhealthy lifestyle. If this is the case, all you need is a little self discipline and the willingness to change your lifestyle if you want to get rid of your high blood pressure. There are many things and factors that can actually cause your blood pressure to go up or down. Your life style actually play the main role when it comes to it. Other causes are your race, your age and your family history. And although you cannot change your age, race and family history, you can still gain control of your blood pressure.

The things you may try to lower down your high blood pressure may not work all the time. Having a healthy lifestyle might not be enough and you might need the help of medication along the way as well. As soon as you have chosen the kind of healthy lifestyle you want to adapt, it's best that you talk to you doctor for professional advice so that they can also provide you the best option there is.

The first thing you need to do is to try to achieve a healthy weight. Having excess weight can play a big role in increasing you blood pressure. Make sure that you watch your diet until you reach your ideal weight. If you have a healthy diet, this will have a major impact on your blood pressure. Avoid eating too much salty food because salt is one of the many causes of high blood pressure. If you eat too much salty food, this can lead to high blood pressure which can eventually lead to kidney disease as well as stroke. Also try avoiding sodium in your diet altogether. Use herbs and spices in place of it instead. Eat more vegetables and fresh fruit. This will not only be healthier for your body but it also helps in decreasing your blood pressure.

Try to be physically active. Physical inactivity plays a big role in increasing your blood pressure. If you do not exercise regularly, make it a habit if you want to be healthier. Do any kind of exercise at least 30 minutes a day. This will promote proper circulation of your blood thus decreasing the risk of having high blood pressure. If you want o get involved in any rigorous physical activities,try consulting your doctor first if you haven't been active for a while. You don't have to do the complicated exercises right away. You can simply start with brisk walking first until you're ready to take on more challenging exercises.

Smoking and drinking can also raise your blood pressure. You can try limiting your consumption of cigarettes and alcohol first until you can finally put a stop to this unhealthy habits. Just slowly lower the amount you intake on a daily basis until you are ready to quit it and stop. Replacing this habit with something you enjoy can also help in putting a top to it. AS soon as you feel the need to smoke, think of something else healthier that you want to do.
